Vincent Van Gogh

Lamiss, a very close friend to my soul accepted to share with me her words, thoughts, worries and smiles. I asked her and she responded. What a beautiful chain of meaningful words. Here you go, read and enjoy:

One extraordinary night talking to a great friend, I got a song from her, sung by Josh Groban, a great singer with a Great voice. Affected by him made me look more for songs he performed, until I was hit by the "Vincent" sang originally by Don Maclean and written by Anthony Diffatta. In a concert with Josh it was like a night in the sky where the words of the song went like a stream of warm feelings flowing into my veins.
" Starry Starry night , paint your palette blue and gray, look out on the summer's day... now I understand what you tried to say to me .......for they could not love you.....you took your life as lovers often do... but I could have told you Vincent, this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you..." ,what a song?
What is this starry night? Who is Vincent? Why he suffered for his sanity?
This lead me to discover who he is.
He was a postimpressionist painter, but why he killed himself?
It’s because he was rejected by all people even by his own family for his way of living and thinking, but why? because he was misunderstood, and by chance, a series of his paintings passed in front of me reflecting the words in the song, the Historical picture Starry night was blue and gray drawn in a summers day while he was in his last days in a sanitary where he killed himself, after painting almost 2000 paints in almost 20 years and most of them reflecting the beauty of nature and people’s lives back then, where he tried to set them free by his drawing, BUT they couldn’t love him....
what marvelous Vincent praising God’s creatures by his hands.
what an astonishing man I missed knowing about till this time !!! But now since I realized the secrets of nature through Vincent translated in words, pictures and lyrics i can say " Great is the world and praised is the lord".
Vincent was a mirror reflecting Gods glory through himself and his paints.
Since then Vincent has been my friend sitting in my ears, in my eyes, my mind and heart; Those who doesn’t know Vincent can’t see God’s fingerprints clearly in this world.

I so enjoyed reading this Michael. Your friend expressed herself beautifully. There is honestly no person in history I love like I love Vincent Van Gogh. I think that song captures his spirit so well...it is so beautiful. A beautiful song for a beautiful, pure, and honest soul. He saw only goodness in people. Nothing that the world says matters so much mattered to him at all and I think it's so true that the world doesn't value that quality.
Thanks for sharing.
